King’s College School currently offers classes from Pre-Reception (age 3 to 4) to Year 8 (age 12 to 13). Every year, we will then add a grade until we get to Year 13 (age 18, equivalent to 12th grade in the US system), preparing our graduates for entry into the top-ranked universities in the US, UK, Europe and around the world. For the academic year 2023/24, we will enrol students from Nursery (age 2 to 3) all the way to Year 9 (age 13 to 14).

A typical day at King’s College School, The Bahamas will begin around 8:30 am and end around 3:30 pm, with a slightly shorter day for younger students and extending until 4:15pm for Senior students in Years 7 – 13. Younger learners with shorter days will have a break and lunchtime, while older students will have a break before and after their lunch.
Admissions
- Submit an application form.
- Set up a first visit (virtual or school tour).
- The Headteacher will meet and interview all families who apply to join the school.
- All students who apply to join the school take a GL Cat-4 assessment (except for Nursery and Reception – where there will be a meeting with the Head of EYFS). Testing Fees are included in the Application Fee.
- The school requires reports from the previous school to receive an acceptance letter.
Yes, the application process fee is US$ 150. Once your child has been accepted, you will need to pay a $1,000 deposit, which will be deducted from your first term’s fees.
- Copies of valid passports or IDs (parents and student).
- Application Form completed and signed.
- Special Education Needs (SEN) and allergies form completed and signed (if applicable).
- Two passport-sized photographs.
- Up-to-date vaccinations register or a letter of good health from a certified doctor.
- Student Birth Certificate.
- School Reports of all previous education.
- Letter of recommendation from the last school attended (when applicable).
Applicants from Reception to Year 1 are required to meet with the Head of Primary or a senior primary staff member.
For Year 2 onwards, King’s College School, The Bahamas applicants must take a CAT 4 exam, which measures the way each student learns.
Note: The CAT 4 is not a knowledge test. There is no way to fail or pass, nor any way to prepare for this diagnostic test.
Yes, you have to make a deposit of US$ 1,000 to reserve your child’s place. This will be deducted from the first term’s fees.
Meals are not included in the fees. Students can bring their own lunch or order meals, which will be provided on-site at a charge.
King’s College School, The Bahamas school fees will include educational materials (books, notebooks, art materials, etc.), school day trips (within Nassau) and student insurance for all students as part of our fees.
No, King’s College School, The Bahamas will NOT include uniform and extracurricular clubs in yearly fees. These will be charged separately.

Scholarships
Any resident of The Bahamas is eligible to apply for a scholarship.
For August 2024 entry, scholarship applications need to be submitted by 31 January 2024.
Students will be required to submit an enquiry form, attend an interview and complete a scholarship assessment.
Scholarship awards vary and will be awarded based on individual circumstances.
